A super blend known as Al J (liquid) or capsules or vegitabs is a good option for respiratory difficulties. It is a unique blend of superb herb seeds and extracts in the likes of Fennel, Fenugreek, and Mullein. Al J is a key product for the respiratory system that supports the body during seasonal changes.

According to Dian Dincin Buchman, Ph.D., author of The Complete Book of Water Therapy, soaking feet in warm water and two tablespoons of dried mustard powder makes a relaxing footbath that relieves nasal and chest congestion.

For other cold symptoms, teas may provide much needed relief:

Try steeping some sage in boiled water for about 20 minutes. Drink (sweetened with honey if preferred) to relieve a cough.

For a head congestion: drink a tea made of steeping fenugreek in boiled water for five minutes. Fenugreek tea gargle is also great for sore throats.

For a chest congestion: try a tea of mullein steeped in boiled water or lobelia. Soak a hand towel in the tea, place the warm damp towel on your chest, kick back, relax and see if you can count 50 sheep!

Avoid dairy and bread. They encourage mucus production and so intensify cold and flu symptoms like coughs, and congestions.
